Gloria Moore asked:
Iowa is something of a contradiction; it has among the most cellular carries in the nation (totaling forty six) and is also is among the higher percentages for cell phone users (as of 2006, there were 1,820,681 known). But it somehow fails, despite its great growth, to utilize the value of a directory. What does this mean for Iowa users? We will explain.
Look first at the impressive rate of progress the state has shown–and prepare to be as amazed as we were.
2000: 975,629
2001: 861,382
2002: 1,157,580
2003: 1,250,305
2004: 1,557,542
2005: 1,767,830
As you can see, there was a slight dip in 2001. But that simply makes the following year all the more interesting as it rose considerably higher. Much of that can be attributed to the major cities of Des Moines, Cedar Rapids and Davenport. They lead Iowa in all fronts, bringing in the most consumers and the most cell phone users (as the two aren’t always linked).
We stated before that this state is a contradiction, and it is. Like other areas, it fails to supply its customers with the piece of essential information needed to distinguish unknown numbers and anonymous callers. Which, as we all know, are sources of aggravation. There is little worse in the cellular world than to keep receiving calls from a number you don’t recognize, only to have the caller hang up before you can verify who they are. You waste so many precious minutes trying to redial, only to find their “Leave a message and I’ll get back to you” note.
Obviously, something must be done and, since Iowa is not able to offer the answer at this time, we feel that we must make the suggestion for them:
Go to www.LookUpThisNumber.com. This will help you better manage your time and your energy while on the phone and keep you from having to deal with the oh so stressful challenge of tracking down numbers. There’s no difficulty here; you simply place the digits in the box and let the website do the rest. You can have the benefits of growth with the practicality of searching.
